Me gusta Hotel Gran Soller / Mallorca / Spain
Categories Destinations, Hotels, Houses, Stories1 CommentArriving at International Airport Palma de Mallorca, wow, the sun is shining 23 degrees in November.
It is a press trip to Mallorca, we checked in @ a fine hotel on the island; the Gran Hotel Port Soller Hotel.
After our arrival, the hotel welcomes you in style.
The reception and check in was easy. They offered us a Champagne and a nice soft drink.
Our room was full of luxury, spacious and with a great view.
Easy to find the way to Golf de Andratx by Stefan Blöcher.
If you are in the mood for sport and the sun is shining:
I would highly recommend the Golf club, Golf de Andratx by Stefan Blöcher.
The golf club in the sea side village of Camp de Mar between Paguera and Andratx became a hotspot for celebrity lifestyle and challenging golf. The golf course is a joy to behold. The fairways blend harmoniously with the beautiful hilly terrain of Camp de Mar and all the players have to use a buggy to navigate the rolling par 72 course.
The golf clubs honorary members are Michael Douglas, Boris Becker, Claudia Schiffer and Franz Beckenbauer.
An amazing golf course, you should have to play here.
We enjoyed it very much.
After a nice night with sweet dreams, we had a breakfast which was really excellent, normal continental things and any hot breakfast you want later on we spent most of our day by the jacuzzi in the sun trap.
Recommended to hire a car, as this region is very mountainous and the walk to and from the port would seem so difficult, just hire a car and explpre the great island
Port de Soller has a small natural harbour which is home to yachts, fishing and sailing boats, and as the sun comes up fishermen take to the port to mend their nets. The tranquil yet lively port offers an impressive array of cafes, local fish restaurants, and small craft and gift shops, and also includes a sandy area for swimming off the main esplanade and the larger beach of Es Repic around the bay.
Soller is a thriving and picturesque market town offering visitors a wide variety of artisan shops, bars and restaurants; its Saturday market is very popular with visitors from all over the island for its fresh produce and Mallorcan crafts. The train journey between Soller and the island’s capital of Palma is considered one of the most beautiful train rides in Spain and perfect for keen photographers looking for some dramatic footage. Winding its way through the imposing mountains, the train travels through 13 tunnels, across several bridges-including the famed “Cinc ponts” viaduct with its five arches until it reaches the old historic station in the heart of Palma. The northwest coast, is considered very different from some other areas of the island because to this day it still retains the authenticity, traditions and unspoilt character that attracts discerning holidaymakers to Mallorca.
Mallorca is located in the Mediterranean Sea, one of the Balearic Islands.
The capital of the island, Palma, is also the capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Like the other Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Formentera and Minorca, the island is a highly popular holiday destination.
A bit away from the usual beaten tourist trail. The hotel is nestled in northwest Mallorca, where we enjoyed breath-taking views from our room. Most of the rooms and suites of this luxury hotel feature stunning views overlooking the glittering Mediterranean Sea. The look out over the quaint fishing village of Port Sóller and Mallorca’s sprawling Serra de Tramuntana mountain range is great.

It is the right time to begin mountainbiking on Mallorca. It is good for the health und the soul. Nicole Rose von Philipp´s Bike Team has a wonderful suggestion for a tour beginning at Costa de la Calma :
The “Passeig de Calvia“ is a footpath and a bicycle track. The tour is about 15 km. The path is hilly, but easy to go. You can see wonderful landscape, blossomtrees and the sea. It is a really good bicycle trak because it is yellow marked. But be careful – it is also a footpath.
Start is from Costa de la Calma to Santa Ponsa, straight on to Por Adriano. A must to see: Visit the new luxury harbour. Have a drink and go on to the rural Son Ferrer to Magaluf and back to Costa de la Calma.
Cycling is Nicoles passion – and so it is only logical that she offers rental bikes of outstanding quality of the internationally successful Merida brand.
Me gusta Mallorca.
