The World’s 50 Best Restaurants
The Awards took place on Marina Bay Sands.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, is a high class event. New this year, a gender parity policy has been implemented in selecting the voters for the awards, and previously awarded number No.1 restaurants (such as last year’s Osteria Francescana) will be moved to the Best of the Best category and no longer feature in the annual ranking.
For the first time in Asia, it was an exciting event where world-class chefs, restaurateurs and gourmets converge in Singapore for not only the awards, but a slew of events and masterclasses.
Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, the slate of events alongside the awards includes #50BestTalks, presented by Miele on 23 June, an event open the public and invited guests where leading personalities in food will discuss the latest trends affecting the industry. Food enthusiasts will also be able to attend a series of masterclasses and collaborative four-hands dinners conducted and prepared by some of the world’s best chefs in advance of the awards ceremony.
