Today we feature a special housing project. The Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales are the inspiration for five courtyard gardens in an abandoned factory being converted into luxury loft apartments. Situated over a parking garage and in the shadow of surrounding buildings, the courtyards are a series of man–made, magical vignettes. By transforming traditional tales into a built environment, a cultural connection is made to German folklore, celebrating the mythical quality of Germany. Burning Man is a week-long annual event held in the Black Rock Desert ( Nevada, USA). The party starts on the Monday before, and ends on the day of, the American Labor Day holiday. It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden effigyon on Saturday evening. The event is a kind of an experiment in music, dance, community, fun and self expression.

The Netherlands is famous for its windmills, wooden shoes and Delftware – and for KLM of course. What do you get when you combine all of these things? KLM’s new worldwide campaign ‘Tile & Inspire’.
