Arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport.
The airport name derives from the adjacent district of Barajas, which has its own metro station on the same rail line serving the airport.
Me gusta, Madrid.
Our hotel – the 5 star Westin Palace is located within the city limits northeast of the Puerta del Sol in Madrid’s historic centre.
On the way, our taxidriver told me that the Westin Palace Madrid is the “homebase” of Bayern Munich’ soccer stars when they are in Madrid.
By the way, last check-in during their Champions league experience 2012 vs Real Madrid (great match including penalty shoot out!).
The Westin Palace rises majestically in the center of Madrid, in the cultural heart of the city.
Located in the exclusive Triangle of Art, including El Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums, is the perfect place, ideal hotel to explore Madrid, the Westin Palace Madrid has 467 rooms and suites with Belle Époque style for sure you will like it.
Everywhere you find nice tapas bars with different tapas, I like pata negra jamon. Me gusta.
First we went to the resto: “La Rotonda”, beautiful place under a spectacular glass dome.
Mucho gusto, a nice start.
Madrid is bordered by the autonomous communities of Castile and León and Castile-La Mancha.
As the capital city of Spain, seat of government, and residence of the Spanish monarch, Madrid is also the political centre of Spain.
Madrid is quite known for sports, education, entertainment, environment, media, fashion, science, culture, food.
And for lovely parcs and beautiful sunsets.
Madrid is one of the world’s major global cities.
As usual, we feature our “Global Nomads”:
