House & Hotel thinks it belongs to the worlds top hotels. This hotel is a piece of paradise located in the shade of the Arenal volcano. Every room has a view of the hot spring pools and the volcano from generous sized balconies. It gives you a spa-like feel.
History: Costa Rica is in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. It means “Rich Coast” and the resort is really rich in fun and luxe.
The rooms and the restaurant was wonderful. This is not a very large hotel complex with a special intimate ambience. We were there during low season and enjoyed a romantic stay at this lovely hotel. The spa is beautiful and the staff there are experts. In terms of location, all major attractions are nearby. The La Fortuna Catarata is must see for anyone physically fit enough to do the climb down approx. 500 steps. Besides the great view the falls end in a gorgeous lagoon where you can swim around and cool off. All in all I would highly recommend this place!
Besides our nice upgrade we loved this part of Costa Rica.
