Tenerife – The Abama Golf & Spa Resort / Tenerife / Spain

I enjoyed a incentive trip to this beautiful island. Great experience to check in at the Abama Golf & Spa Resort.

A 160 hectare ‘finca’ tucked away in Guía de Isora, a tranquil and little known area of the island of Tenerife.

The island, the largest of the seven that make up the Canary Island archipelago, is just over 300 km from the African coast, and about 1,300 km from the Spanish Mainland. Slightly to the north of the Tropic of Cancer, situated in the centre of the chain, between Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma.

Abama features volcanic landscapes, exuberant vegetation with over 300 varieties of plants, trees and palm trees, with breathtaking panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Island of La Gomera. With a spectacular situation on the South West Coast of Tenerife on the smooth slopes of the Teide, the highest peak in Spain, our Tenerife hotel is set on breathtaking landscape that runs all the way down to the ocean and features its exclusive beach.
Tenerife is known throughout the world as the Island of Eternal Spring. In its privileged location, the Abama hotel enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other part of Spain, with an average annual temperature of 23º C.

All of the rooms are big and joyful.

Reception with champagne on arrival was an indication of how this visit was going to be. Spa facility is lovely with the ice room being a novelty. The Abama is a funky and huge resort and the free chauffer driven golf buggy is a great way to get round.

The resort is full of palm trees and you could be in a tropical island. Perfect place for a little break.
Besides this we enjoyed very much to play everyday tennis.
