My hideaway Hotel Traube Tonbach.

It is easy to leave everyday far behind at the Traube Tonbach.
The five star location in the Black Forest area can look back on more than 225 years of hospitality.
Since 1789 the Finkbeiner family in its 8th generation of the original founder knows what its guest appreciate about the Hotel.
It is the combination of attentive service of every possible comfort and luxurious ambience.
Guests are treated as individuals, there is no standard treatment here.
We felt like at home away from home after we checked in at “Haus Kohlwald”; just across the street from the main hotel’s original building.
Surrounded by a charming natural setting, the modern architecture of “Haus Kohlwald” representing an imposing sight.
The new building and the rooms and suites are more modern.
Hotel Traube Tonbach has 153 huge rooms -each room has more than 55 qm- apartments and suites traditionally decorated in Black Forest style.
The select rooms and suites offers special wellbeing factor and the spirit can run free perfectly.
Only natural materials have been used for the interior, the double bed was very comfortable and I slept well.
There was a fruit welcome for us and we found every day complimentary home-made welcome chocolates.
So yummy and very lovely.
The bathroom offered contemporary design, a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, bathrobes, slippers also for the kids. Everything you need were provided.
The revitalization of the senses, body and soul are possible in the 4500qm spa area.
The hotel offers several heated swimming pools -the outdoor saltwater pool was under construction- but the indoor saltwater and freshwater pools, plus different saunas gave us much joy.
There are four jacuzzi whirlpools, not to mention sauna steamrooms. The massage was fantastic, Mrs. Ganter and her team offers a range of different massages from Swedish, Lomi Lomi to thai massage, Balinese Massage and several Ayurveda massages.
A unique oasis of wellbeing for perfect relaxation.
In addition, guests can also avail themselves in the fitness center.
Luxury and kids don’t always go together well, but at Hotel Traube Tonbach they do.
Truly fun to enjoy the indoor kids court from 10 am until 9pm.
Pure enjoyment to swim for the youngster.
And Mum and Dad.
Wow.
The kids court is really huge. Kids from 2 years can be cared and older children played indoor football, trampolin, basketball, billard, ping pong. Our kids took also their meals there, while we had fun in the sauna and the -different-restaurants, including dinner at Köhlerstube, lunch at Bauernstube and Blockhütte.
Pure enjoyment awaits discerning palates also for breakfast.
The Traube Tonbach breakfast offered all kind of cheese, fish, breakfast meats, fresh fruits, breads, pastries and of course hot egg dishes.
Baiersbronn and especially Traube Tonbach has become synonymous with the perfect gourmet dining luxury getaway in Germany.
This is especially a thanks to Chef Harald Wohlfahrt’s 3 Michelin star restaurant “Schwarzwaldstube”.
While “Schwarzwaldstube” was closed during our visit, we enjoyed all the other restaurants -paired with fantastic wine offerings- at Silbergberg and Köhlerstube.
All in all this hotel offers great service, delicious food, friendliness and fun.
The Finkbeiner and the staff are passionate about ensuring their guests enjoying their stay.
We love Traube Tonbach.
