Cities we love – Toronto in Canada

Destination Canada.

Canada and especially Toronto can be different.

They are everywhere, the desire to live aloft is one shared by many, some of whom have gone so far as to make their dream a reality.

As a result, there are some extremely altitudinous treehouses located around the world one of them in Toronto.

Although it is only 100 square feet, The Roost’s undulating roof creates the feeling of more space, deluding the eye and circumventing building code.

The roof is made of Northern white cedar, a wood that is rarely used as a major component in building projects despite its nonrotting and disease-resistant traits. The sedum roof is equipped with a cistern for rainwater harvesting. Traditionally, cisterns are placed closer to or buried within the ground, but this limits the area over which the water can be gravity-dispersed through a garden.
