Wroclaw, my new love

Contributed by Jens Hoffmann

Wroclaw is well-designed for travel, hospitality and style.
We felt directly good after arriving at the busy main train station.

It was at one time the largest in Europe and it looks like they want to become No.1 again.
A big wow – the trainstation Wroclaw Glówny looks like a castle.
I would say the nicest train station in Poland.

Truly a lovely welcome and a wonderful first impression.

Wroclaw is one of the most beautiful and greenest cities in Poland.

Wroclaw is called “the city of bridges” and that’s a good description as there are 117 bridges and footbridges.

It is hard to sightsee them all but we explored several ones with the DoubleTree hotel bikes.

You might try to count them or just to go across them all but the legend says no-one has ever succeeded in that.

Whatever you like about the city you can be sure that you won’t forget it quickly.

Maybe thats why locals and visitors call it “WrocLove”.

Surely because of cosyness and strong feelings toward the city.

This place in Poland is really exceptional.
It offers a wide range of art, nightlife and cultural activities.
Easy to enjoy, for party animals and people with kids.

One more time, watch out for the dwarfs!
They are hidden all over Wroclaw, sometimes in very unusual places.

Wroclaw was a couple of times ranked as one of the best city to live in.
It hosts many concerts, speeches by famous persons eg. Dalai Lama and events like the European Film Awards.

It will only be topped by our hideaway on time: The 5-star DoubleTree by Hilton.

An ambience that could simply not be more elegant and stylish.
Its located in OVO Wroclaw, opposite the Słowacki Park with its picturesque walking paths and landscape designs.
We discovered many things by bike.

The hotel is the perfect place to explore the city.

It is near to the Museum of Architecture and the National Museum.

Nearby is also the Old Town Market Square.

The whole OVO Wroclaw is a styling building.
For me it looks a bit like a big transatlantic ‘Queen Mary 2’ cruise ship

The sleek rounded exterior blends the cured lines of the building with a stylish minimalism that typifies the interior spaces.

The nice service and the 189 rooms and suites, perfect wellbeing for city travellers.
Wow, we enjoyed our junior suite in room 295.
Our hideaway had a huge comfortable bed, flat-screen TV and WiFi.

Guests staying in a suite also enjoy access to the Executive Lounge with complimentary light dinner and refreshments during the day plus and a happy our from 6 to 8 pm.

The OVO restaurant of the hotel delights with nice cuisine, placing great value on local, seasonal and fresh ingredients.
Easy to enjoy a nice diner at Ovo Bar & Restaurant, located on the lobby level.

It a fabulous place from morning till night and offers a charming view of the hotels indoor area.

Relaxation is also to be found in the in the spa and indor pool of the hotel.
An extensive range of treatments from different massages whisk spa guest into seventh heaven.

We will be back soon.
