The airport is bordered by desert. Huge facilities make the airport an amazingly big air-cargo hub.
The year was one of my “hottest” years and it is ending in the most fitting manner possible; with warm days. Thats the way I like it.
Yes, Dubai is a special destination that enthrals its guests.
The hours can be whiled away, marvelling at views up in the sky.
We checked in at the 5 star Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, a nice executive room next to the Presidential Suite was waiting for us.
Truly a fashionable retreat which blends a cosmopolitan lifestyle with relaxation.
Its located on the bustling Jumeirah beach district.
The hotel features lively dining, leisure choices and a nice executive lounge -which offers complimentary (alcoholic drinks) between 6.30 – 8.30 pm.
We enjoyed that, different strokes for different folks.
Everything is just a few steps away from the beach and blue waters of the Arabian Gulf.
The Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach sits at the heart of one of Dubai’s newest, dynamic urban locations, Jumeirah Beach Residence.
The hotel is well situated to easily access the city’s thriving business hubs, major attractions and entertainment facilities as well as being just a short stroll to one of Dubai’s stretches of inviting coastline.
A bed for the night, a hideaway for a nice christmas time, a gourmet playground. It is interesting to see how versatile the Mövenpick can be. Featuring a modern, chic and contemporary design, the hotel boasts 294 modern and comfortable rooms and suites, all of them offer balconies.
Always with a view, if it is not the sea, it is still interesting especially for architectual fans like me.
The culinary options at Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach combine taste, variety, engaging atmospheres and special settings to create memorable dining experiences time and again.
At “Talk Restaurant” you get fresh food in live cooking stations and changing themed dinner nights are complemented with a à la carte menu.
Soul comprises an evening restaurant and bar on the hotel’s second floor. It has an indoor-outdoor poolside bar and lounge setting.
The “West Beach Bistro & Sports Lounge” is an award-winning sports bar with large screens to view live sporting action (especially football) together with a nice meze pub menu.
The pool bar offers nice (arabian) snacks, food and beverages during the day.
By evening it transforms into an outdoor lounge where guests can unwind in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the pool a vast array of international beverages and shisha flavours.
During daytime, another place to enjoy something to eat and drink is the poolside bar.
A room service menu is also available 24 hours a day for those who prefer to dine in the privacy of their room or suite.
The wellness centre “Body Talk”, offering an array of treatments, is in close proximity to the outdoor pool that is only few steps away from the beach of the Arabian Gulf, with a wide choice of water sports while the health club has the latest equipment complemented by relaxing sauna and steam rooms.
We enjoyed the our executive room 2206 next to the Presidential Suite 2218.
The breakfast was amazing, international flair, high-quality olive oil, hummus, meze, fish and delicious honey.
