My trip to Marburg – Vila Vita Rosenpark

Contributed by feature reporter and influencer Jens Hoffmann

Marburg is a beautiful city, rich in history and nature.

On the horizon is the Marburg Castle, a little below you find my lovely hideaway and great places to eat.
The Hotel Vila Vita Rosenpark, the star classification and the five stars have been discarded, the Michelin gourmet restaurant in the hotel is also no longer there, but one has evolved with an affinity for pleasure.

City visitors and hotel guests enjoy the dinner below the castle in the Bückingsgarten or in the “Waldschlösschen” in Dagobertshausen or simply the culinary delights in the hotel.

The gastronomic management of all restaurants is the responsibility of Vila Vita.

The gastronomy is convincing, the Vila Vita has a lot to offer, which is certainly also due to the basic idea of investment consultant Reinfried Pohl, who built the hotel 22 years ago.

My temporary refuge inspires me as soon as I enter the lobby.

The team greets me in a friendly manner; it’s turbulent and cozy in the lobby.

The bellboy takes me to the elevator and explains the history of the hotel.

Arriving on the third floor at my room 3404, I got the information how I reach the spa, reception and restaurant.
My room seems like an apartment, equipped with several rooms and kitchenette.

I feel very comfortable.

A welcome gift, some fresh fruit and drinks, plus personal greetings and the program are on my table.

While hotel rooms in Germany were often only used as “sleeping facilities”, the rooms at Vila Vita have always had a certain style and an appealing size of 35sqm and more.

The hotel has 304 rooms and 78 suites.

The facilities are tastefully decorated, offers a relaxing stay, a nice spa treatment and wellness concept with a pleasant atmosphere.

The hotel celebrates style and, in terms of exclusivity, focuses less on heavy carpets, more modern photos and fine dining.

The hotel’s own convention center is available for meetings.
The MICE industry may still be in a pandemic slumber, but events are sure to return.

My tip: A gastronomy excursion with a fine dining option at the Kitchenclub Waldschlösschen on the Hofgut in Dagobertshausen.

It belongs on every bucket list.

The GM of Vila Vita Marburg is Michael Hamann, he is well known to me as F & B director of “Sansibar” on Sylt.
At that time he took care of the wine accompaniment and knows how to bind people and make them happy.

The next foodevent on the Hofgut in Dagobertshausen is already fixed.

2500 guests are invited and it was booked out faster than a Rolling Stones rock concert.

I can confirm it’s a nice idea to move the reception outside and then later end up back in the nice hotel bar.

That’s how we did it, it was a great evening.

A lot of leisure activities Marburg offers, the historical city tour of “Marktweib Trude” belongs on every travel list.

Inspired, we return. I enjoyed after the Hotel tour a massage at the spa before dinner at the OLIVA mediterran restaurant in Vila Vita Rosenpark.

Some people don’t like to eat at the hotel, I love it, especially with nice company.

The menu offers Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian focus.

Our table was richly set with pizza, bruchetta, olives, cheese and Italian prochiutto.

Sharing is caring, all dishes are available for sharing.

I tried everything and enjoyed sharing the little delicacies.

This was followed by a minestrone, risotto, fish and meat.

All with numerous flavors, the perfect melange of flavors and cooking methods combined.

The perfect wine accompaniment comes from Portugal.

The fine wines also make the meal a real pleasure.

In the Vila Vita’s delight shop “Vita essentials” you can take some of the taste experience home with you.

Lets say a Vila Vita gourmet center is located in Marburg an der Lahn.

In addition to the delicatessen, you can find the ice cream factory and ice cream parlor “Aroma” in the center.

Just try everything and also all types of ice cream.

Total:
The service in the house is excellent, very attentive and concerned about the guest.
There are often the “little things” that make a stay a memory, here I had lots of them,
I enjoyed the days very much.

The Vila Vita is Marburg’s first address for a “hotel experience” of a special kind in a fairy tale city.

Info & booking:

The press trip was supported by Vila Vita Hotels & Global Communication Experts (Frankfurt).

Living in style.
