Me gusta Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca in Spain.
Wow, the sun is shining and I love Palma.
We made a press trip to Mallorca and checked in the 5 star Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel.
After our arrival, the reception and check in was easy. They offered us a glass of Champagne and fresh orange juice.
Port Soller is located in the Soller Valley on the rugged and unspoilt Northwest coast of Mallorca, often termed as the Golden Valley for its orchards brimming with oranges, lemons and olives.
It has a small natural harbour which is home to yachts, fishing and sailing boats, and as the sun comes up fishermen take to the port to mend their nets. The tranquil yet lively port offers an impressive array of cafes, local fish restaurants, and small craft aincludes a sandy area for swimming off the main esplanade and the larger beach of Es Repic around the bay.
Soller is a thriving and picturesque market town offering visitors a wide variety of artisan shops, bars and restaurants; its Saturday market is very popular with visitors from all over the island for its fresh produce and Mallorcan crafts. The train journey between Soller and the island’s capital of Palma is considered one of the most beautiful train rides in Spain and perfect for keen photographers looking for some dramatic footage. Winding its way through the imposing mountains, the train travels through 13 tunnels, across several bridges-including the famed “Cinc ponts” viaduct with its five arches until it reaches the old historic station in the heart of Palma. The northwest coast, is considered very different from some other areas of the island because to this day it still retains the authenticity, traditions and unspoilt character that attracts discerning holidaymakers to Mallorca. Our suite was unbelievable, full of luxury, spacious and with a few electronic gadgets like closing the curtains and moving the tv.
A few things we knew already before, because we saw the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, where standards were out of this world. But on Mallorca, the Jumeirah spa is also amazing, the jacuzzi outside has a wonderful touch and there are sunbeds in the area outside, which are placed in a sun trap…even better than in Dubai and we enjoyed it.
The Spa has a salt room, ice room, sauna, steam room, hamman room and plenty of free green tea, water, tea and lemon water available.
After a nice night with sweet dreams, we had a breakfast which was excellent, normal continental things and any hot breakfast you want.
Later on we spent most of our day by the jacuzzi in the sun trap.
Recommended to hire a car, as this region is very mountainous and the walk to and from the port would seem so difficult, just hire a car and explpre the great island
We interviewed the marketing mastermind Sandra Ferrero. First of all she is so happy with this project on lovely Mallorca, far away from the germans paradise “Ballerman” and “Schinkenstrasse”. Some people say it will be the best address on the island.
If you are in the mood for sport I would highly recommend the Golf club, Golf de Andratx by Stefan Blöcher.
The golf club in the sea side village of Camp de Mar between Paguera and Andratx became a hotspot for celebrity lifestyle and challenging golf. The golf course is a joy to behold. The fairways blend harmoniously with the beautiful hilly terrain of Camp de Mar and all the players have to use a buggy to navigate the rolling par 72 course.
The golf clubs honorary members are Michael Douglas, Boris Becker, Claudia Schiffer and Franz Beckenbauer.
An amazing course, you should have to play here.
