Destination Bahamas -Nassau.

A great place, renovated hotel, situated on downtown Nassau’s only private beach and at the site of Old Fort Nassau overlooking the port.

The oldest hotel on the Bahamas, first opened in 1900, once housed the famous pirate Blackbeard and his cohorts, be aware.

If you like the feel of Caribbean colonial style you will enjoy this hotel. The rooms look a little tired and are fairly small but quaint. The service was good at times and slow at others, but all in all it was a fantastic experience. The location on New Providence Island is a winner being in the center of the historic downtown. The hotel has a private beach and a resort pool, beautiful pool complex with great sun decks, nestled in the tropical garden, though if these are your top priorities for your time in The Bahamas, we suggest to enjoy. Nassau is always fun and I will not forget the harbour views and the selection of tasty rums on the island.

We had a good time and felt a bit like Pirate Blackbeard.

Thats probably the reason why the hotel was film location for James Bond movies “Never Say Never Again” and “Thunderball”

James Bond featured by Sean Connery loved that location. The Bahamas, better the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is a country consisting of more than 3,000 islands, cays and islets in the Atlantic Ocean, north of Cuba, Domi Rep and Haiti and southeast of the US state of Florida. Its capital is Nassau.

All in all: Lovely stay, never say never again.
