Take a look, a lovely location for all fans of excellent dining, perfect wellness and an absolute calm region. You know the famous slogan “All around the world, unique in the world”.
Thats what the Hardenberg Burghotel is like and it offers you “joie de vivre” or joy of life, pleasure and relaxation at the highest level.
We enjoyed it very much and got the pleasant Relais & Chateauy family touch. That is the remit of Count Carl von Hardenberg and the Rosentreter family. The hotel belongs to the luxury hotel association Relais & Châteaux since since 1999.
The wild boar’s head – the emblem of the Hardenberg family – is not only a hallmark of Hardenberg Wilthen AG, but also stands for the Count von Hardenberg’s estate. With its two hotels, four restaurants, two of the finest golf courses in northern Germany as well as a large group of historic buildings, its castle park and other attractions, the estate offers the discerning tourists an extensive and varied programme.
Behind the concept is the Count von Hardenberg, who directs the whole concern in the ninth generation. “I vouch for the quality of the Hardenberg products with my name,” says Carl Graf von Hardenberg, who sees his task as combining a more than 300-year-old tradition with a sustainable vision for the future.
The hotel offers gourmet weekends. Our colleague Kathrin took a diet break 🙂 and had on 8/3/2014 a great time with Paolo Barrale (Italian Michelin star cook.
She enjoyed noble typical italian creations, stunning fine dining experience, accompanied by fine wines from the best wineries in Italy, eg. the winery Feudi di San Gregorio.
Together with the team of chefs around Novalis kitchen director Katja Burgwinkel Barrale conjures a variety of Italian specialties. The Sicilian is a student of Heinz Beck, the head chef of La Pergola in Rome (three Michelin stars), the hotel’s renowned restaurant of the Rome Cavalieri.
After the fantastic meal we walked through the woods around. Located in the centre of the Count von Hardenberg’s estate, at the foot of the historic castle ruins, the Hardenberg BurgHotel offers you a refuge of classic elegance and rural idyll, unspoilt nature and modern comfort. This spot is the perfect one for an unforgettable weekend for two, a round of golf or even a meeting with business associates.
Its worth it.
